Business Profile
The Endeavour is a school for children and young people aged 5-19. Our learners have Moderate Learning Difficulties, and we currently have 162 pupils on roll. Our Primary, Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 provision is on our main site in Hogarth Avenue, Brentwood. Our Sixth Form is based at the Chadwick Centre, a few minutes walk away on Riseway. Although we are based in Brentwood, our learners travel from across Essex, with some outside of the county, due to the provision we offer.
We place the child at the centre of everything we do. Our philosophy is to Explore, Develop, Refine and Apply. Involving the school, pupils, parents, and the wider community. Through this philosophy, we seek to develop the intellectual, physical, moral and social potential of every pupil in the school. Our curriculum is designed to be well-balanced but, at the same time, address the individual needs of the child. Our pupils are encouraged to become responsible and confident citizens who can express their needs, thoughts, and feelings effectively and respond appropriately to the demands of living in the community. Our sincere aim is that pupils will feel valued and, in turn, will value themselves and others.
In addition to supporting us with our fundraising projects, we are keen to develop relationships within the local community to spread awareness about the potential of our learners and to give them opportunities to explore new experiences and their career prospects. We are proud of our learners and our school and would welcome the opportunity to discuss how working together could support us and your business.
The Anchorage Association is a small charity comprising parents, carers, and staff connected to The Endeavour Co-operative Academy. Our charity number is 268679. We raise funds to support the learners at the school with experiences and resources to help them achieve their potential. We support funding school trips to ensure no learner misses out. We also fund more significant projects, including minibuses, playground equipment, and library facilities. We do our best to help ourselves through ongoing fundraising initiatives and school events. However, we rely on the support of local businesses and grant-giving organisations to make our larger projects possible.
